Rose Garden

Rose Garden is a central-west neighborhood of San Jose and was named for the 5-acre Municipal Rose Garden Park. Once a prune orchard, it now houses over 189 varieties of award-winning roses. Bound by Interstate 880, State Route 82, and Forest Avenue, Rose Garden is filled with Mediterranean and Victorian mansions, and homes that accentuate the beauty and grace of the area. A diverse history can be found in the neighborhood's Rosicrucian Park that spans an entire city block and includes a planetarium, a peace garden, research garden, grand temple and the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum. The museum holds the largest exhibition of Ancient Egyptian antiquities in the Western U.S., and is constructed in an Ancient Egyptian architectural style. Rose Garden was founded in beauty and style, and lives well up to its name.
